If you came here because you can't get into Going Merry, the immediate question is probably about your applications. We'd start with the scholarship sponsor, especially if a deadline is close. Don't assume that losing access to a platform tells you whether a sponsor received your submission.
What the reporting says
GoBursar reports that Going Merry closed in March 2026, with a March 5 deadline for students to save their information. That is a third-party account; we haven't independently verified the notice sent to users. We also haven't found a public company explanation that establishes why the service closed.

Find the sponsor's official contact details. Explain which scholarship and cycle you applied for, and ask whether your application arrived and whether anything is missing. Use a confirmation number if you have one. Don't send identity documents to an address you found in a comment thread. The sponsor's answer is more useful than a replacement platform guessing on your behalf.
- Search your email for submission confirmations and messages from sponsors.
- Check downloads and cloud storage for essays, transcripts, and activity lists you already saved.
- For unfinished applications, ask whether the sponsor accepts a direct submission or uses another portal.
Keep the next copy somewhere you control
Our view: no scholarship service should be the only place your application work exists. Keep your final answers and receipts in a folder you can access without that service. A naming scheme as simple as 'award / year / submitted essay' is enough. We'd give you the same advice if you were using Wonaride. Having a backup shouldn't depend on predicting which company might close.
