About this scholarship

Ron Brown Scholars are academically talented Black high school seniors who lead in their communities. The award is $10,000 a year for four years, plus a network that is the real product. The program is small — a handful of new scholars each year — so the essays have to be specific. Early applications are read first. U.S. citizens or permanent residents heading to a four-year college. If you are also filing Gates and Jackie Robinson, reuse the facts, not the sentences.
